Best Practices
Avoid Recording While Your Device is Hot
A hot device can reduce tracking quality and cause frame drops. To avoid this:
- Don't charge your device while using the app.
- Allow your device to cool down before using the app after charging it.
- Keep your device out of hot environments or direct sunlight.
Overheating
At 60 FPS, an overheated device may drop to 30 FPS until it cools down.
Clean Lenses and LiDAR Sensor
For the best tracking quality, clean your lenses
.
If your device has LiDAR, clean the LiDAR sensor too.
A clean LiDAR and lenses are crucial for maintaining high tracking quality.
Avoid Very Fast Movements
Very fast moves increase the chance of tracking loss. Keep motion smooth when possible.
Avoid 360-degree Turn
Full 360° turns can introduce a tracking offset. The app can handle them, but avoid them unless needed.
Avoid Dark Environments
Low light makes tracking harder. Add light where you can for the best results.
